Electronics Recycling Program Resumes
Yes, Westmoreland Cleanways and Recycling's Electronics Recycling Program is up and running again. Beginning April 2, we will once again accept televisions, computer monitors, and other electronics devices, at no charge, at our Recycling Center, located at 113 Innovative Lane, Unity Township 15650. 724-879-4020

Diamond Detour Information
Starting approx. April Forth, the Diamond Detour will be implemented by the contractor.
Construction will start on the East side of the Diamond. No traffic will be permitted to enter the Diamond from East or West Main Street. The West side of the Diamond will be a two way traffic detour, controlled by two red-lights, one near the Creamery to regulate North bound traffic and the other to be placed near the hair dresser/Bank alley to regulate South bound traffic. Only one direction at a time will be permitted to navigate the Diamond.
There will be metered parking on the North side of E. Main St. (100 block) Must make a three point turn to exit. A section of E. Main will be excavated to provide a ditch to get the new utilities to the inner Diamond.
Metered Parking will be permitted on South side of W. Main St. (100 block) use three point turn at Diamond crosswalk to exit.
Detour signs will be installed Friday the 16th and the red-lights approx. March 26th.
Expect traffic delays navigating around the Diamond. Sidewalks to shops will be open.

Friendship Park Status Open
Frienship Park is open Today.
This site will be used to determine if Playground at Friendship Park is open during the winter months M-F. Police open the park on weekends, weather permitting.

Band Stand Use
Until the Construction schedule for the planned Diamond Park Renaissance construction project can be determined, all subsales, weddings, festivals, antiques on the Diamond and concerts will be suspended until further notice. The last permited use is Ice Fest 2018.

Parking Meter Rate Change
Effective January 2, 2018 the new rate at all parking meters will be 50 cents per hour.
Meters accept nickles, dimes and quarters.
2 hour maximum parking limt for streets
10 hour maximum time limit for parking lots.

Meeting Schedule for Year 2018
The regular monthly meetings for the calendar year 2018, for the Council of the Borough of Ligonier will be held at Council Chambers in Ligonier Town Hall located at 120 East Main Street, Ligonier PA 15658. Due to being an election year, a Reorganization meeting will be held on Tuesday January 2nd at 7:00PM. The regular monthly meeting of the Ligonier Borough Council will be held at 7:00 PM on the second Thursday of each month, Jan 11, Feb 08, March 08, April 12, May 10, June 14, July 12, August 09, Sept 13 with the exception for Fort Ligonier Days, it will be held on Monday, October 08, November 08 and December 13. The Ligonier Borough Planning Commission will conduct business on the fourth Tuesday of the month except November and December, will meet on the third Tuesday at Town Hall 7:00PM
